BrightStar Connections® for Memory Care
We’re here for you, with a Higher Standard of Memory Care that specializes in caring for individuals with more complex memory care needs. We call our specialized, industry-leading approach BrightStar Connections®.
What Does That Mean?
Our mission is to provide residents living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia with the individualized care and support they need to:
- Live with dignity and purpose, safely and securely.
- Optimize health and emotional well-being within the context of their dementia journey.
- Maintain connections to the people, places, things and memories that matter most to them.
So we bring our mission to life by surrounding your loved one and your family with information and communication through the four cornerstones that make BrightStar Connections® unique.
Nurse Involvement with Every Client – Our experienced nurses create an individualized plan of care and provide care oversight to ensure the safety and comfort of your loved one.
Specially Trained Staff – Our caregivers have a minimum of one year of experience and are certified in the BrightStar Senior Living dementia approach.
Communication – Our team collaborates closely with residents, family and other healthcare providers. With 24/7/30 touchpoints and quarterly Care Connections meetings, our communication with families exceeds most state requirements because we believe it is so important to ensure everyone is continually informed and involved.
Education and Support for Care Partners – Our family education material features resources from the Alzheimer’s Association and includes an overview of what to expect as a family caregiver, a guide to health and wellness for loved ones with dementia, and more. Our Person-Centered assessment ensures our caregivers provide tailored activities that encourage meaningful interactions.
In other facilities, I wasn’t able to see notes or get the information that I needed about my dad. Here, I receive regular updates and love getting the newsletter and hearing about what is going on. It gives us a real peace of mind. But what’s most impressive is the connection I’ve made with his caregivers. They know me, and they know Dad. I have the kindest sentiments and words about our experience.
