BrightStar Senior Living of Fort Wayne, Indiana

Our newest community is in the Pine Valley neighborhood on the North side of Fort Wayne. The community offers a natural setting in Allen County but with easy access to local favorite outings and eateries. The community features two-story residential design. Visitors are greeted by a welcoming open floor plan with fireplaces and well-appointed furnishings.

Fort Wayne’s population is a little over 250,000. The city continues to grow and change for the better, keeping that small-town feel with big city amenities. There is always something to do whether you want to see a movie, have a picnic at the Fort Wayne Zoo, tour the historical Allen County Courthouse or Sweetwater Sound, see a show at The Embassy Theatre, or grab a bit to eat at the famous Coney Island.

Fort Wayne holds many festivals throughout the year including Fort 4 Fitness, Three Rivers Festival, and the BBQ Rib Fest. Many more events are held in the summer.

Our team is energized each day with new and inventive programming suited to the needs and wants of our residents. The life enrichment team is dedicated to our mission to serve and individualize the experience of each community resident. Scheduled programs fill the day with a wide array of social, cognitive and physical programs, but often spontaneous or need-driven programming becomes the most important and valuable in serving our Memory Care population. Our specially trained care staff is encouraged to be creative and spontaneous with purposeful programming tailored to each resident. Our Life Enrichment coves include a pet rescue theme and gardening themed coves. These are filled with person-centered resources to enhance the memory care household with purposeful programming.

Our technology-based tools like “It’s Never 2 Late” (IN2L) is a life enhancing program engaging our residents with sing-alongs, trivia, interactive games and exercise as well as travel. No matter the physical abilities, we are able to travel all over the globe through this program.

Our community was erected with purpose and ease for seniors to access all that is available. As you tour our beautiful communities you will see the higher standard at every turn. The small-purposeful design kept seniors in mind, easily navigate from the private suite to the bistro or programming area with ease. There are several areas to stop and share conversations with staff or friends. A fresh nourishment station is always stocked with infused water and a signature cookie of our community.

Residents can enjoy a home-like environment. When you enter, you are greeted to the open concept, living room and dining room. As you tour you will never hear any bells or whistles. BrightStar believes in keeping seniors in a home-like atmosphere. Enjoy light music playing in the background, enjoy lemonade or lunch on our patios. Our residents can invite their families to enjoy meals as well. Whether it is a family meal shared in the private dining room or hosting a birthday party on the patio. This is our residents’ home and you feel that when you come in.
