COVID-19 Resident Safety

Keeping your loved one safe 

We’ve designed our community with a mission to provide the highest quality care. That means the highest safety standards including infection prevention are already in place for our community. We’re ensuring your loved one as well as our caregivers and nurses are safe and well, now more than ever. As things change around us, keeping our residents and employees protected is our top priority. Our management teams meet on an ongoing basis to review the latest state guidelines to ensure appropriate response and preparedness measures are taken. We are coordinating with public health officials to update our safety protocols, as necessary. Our goal is to keep families and residents updated by sharing important and timely information.


Raising the bar on safety

As a leader in providing the highest quality care, we always go above and beyond traditional care standards. To ensure the safety of our residents and the ability for our staff to continue providing the highest quality care during the pandemic, we’ve  provided our nurses and caregivers with OSHA-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to minimize the risks of disease transmission. In addition, we’ve developed education and safety training to ensure the highest level of safety for our residents, nurses, and caregivers during this pandemic. Our program has aligned with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), CDC, and federal regulatory requirements.

Our elevated safety standards also include:

  • Upon entering the community all employees, essential vendors, and family must have a temperature in normal range, answer the symptom questionnaire and sanitize their hands.
  • Masks are required for all visitors.
  • In-services conducted with staff to provide updated information on any mandated restrictions.
  • High touch areas are sanitized at least twice per day including handrails, flat surfaces, doorknobs, crash bars, key pads, and phones.
  • Sign in book and pens are sanitized after each use.

We understand families are missing that personal connection and contact with their loved ones. Something as simple as a hug can really lift the mood. So to help our residents do that safely, we created a hugging wall. The unique design of the wall provides our families with the ability to hug or hold hands with their loved one to maintain this bond that is so important. It’s the small things that make a big difference.


Visitation guidelines

Our visitation restrictions have changed.  We are now allowed to have up to 2 visitors indoors or outdoors (weather pending) in our designated visiting location for 30 minutes each day during our designated visiting hours.  All visitors must were a mask provided by BrightStar for the duration of their visit and must maintain social distancing during the visit. Visits need to be scheduled at least 24 hours ahead of time.  Our designate visiting hours are Monday through Friday  10am to 4:30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
