Jessica Flynn, Assistant Executive Director
My name is Jessica Flynn and I am the Resident Operations Manager / Assistant Executive Director at BrightStar Senior Living in Mason. I live with my husband, Tom and our two daughters, Layla and Seana, in the Blue Ash area. Layla is our quiet child, who is an amazing artist and turned 11 in January. Seana is our social butterfly who plays roller derby and turned 13 in April. As you can imagine, they both keep us on our toes! My husband Tom is a retired Firefighter for the City of Reading and currently has been with GE Aviation for the last 16 years. Tom and I enjoy giving back to the community and are members of a Firefighter Motorcycle Club called Fire & Iron.
I grew up in Cincinnati on the east side and the oldest of four daughters. I attended school to be a Medical Assistant /Phlebotomist and started my career. For the first 5 years, I worked as a Medical Assistant for a local physician. I decided to change gears and started at Xerox as an Administrative Assistant. For the last 23 years, I have worked in the administrative /customer service field and never looked back.
I have had the privilege of being a part of this wonderful BrightStar community since August 2020. I truly enjoy helping others and being a part of an amazing team. Our residents and staff have become family and it is a blessing to come in each day and feel like you are home.
Madison Boyd, Director of Health and Wellness
As a high school graduate, I had a dedicated passion for working in in the heath care setting and began working as an STNA in 2012 while going through nursing school. After graduating from Hondros College of Nursing, I transitioned into a charge nurse position in a long-term care and rehab setting. My passion for working with the geriatric population grew even more.
I admire BrightStar’s model of care for their residents. I was attracted to the company when learning about the small ratios for staff and residents. A smaller community gives a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. BrightStar looks at the small details for higher quality of care.
I live in Seven Mile, OH with my husband Adam and two children, Easton and Everly. We stay busy spending time with our family. We love to travel and frequently go camping and boating. Listening to my residents talk about their favorite activities and their family traditions inspires me to pursue adventures with my own family. BrightStar is a place to make memories and feel right at home.
Hello! My name is Angie Goldschmidt and I am the RN-Case Manager at Brightstar Senior Living of Mason. I live in Mason with my husband and our four children, we absolutely love the Mason Community. I followed my heart and pursued BrightStar Senior Living of Mason to share my compassion and clinical nursing excellence with each and every resident. I enjoy running, outdoor activities and spending time with family. It’s an honor to care for the residents that have spent their own lifetime caring for others they love.
I opened BrightStar Home Care of Warren County/South Dayton in August of 2009. It was my first experience in healthcare, which can be a daunting industry. Despite my lack of knowledge and experience, I felt called to start the business. It seems God often chooses the most unlikely candidates. I began with a strong desire to impact that lives of others. Work is often our connection to other people and BrightStar provided the opportunity to improve the lives of our clients, while helping our staff to grow and excel. Now 10 years in to this mission, we continue to experience on a daily basis the beautiful gift that serving another person provides.
Having seen the change we could make in people lives through home care, opening an assisted living and memory care residence only seemed natural. BrightStar Senior Living® gives us a new chance to provide dignity and joy to those in need. What a wonderful blessing to us and those to whom we will provide care.
I grew up in Warren County and moved back here 20 years ago with my wife. We have been blessed with 3 wonderful children who are now about ready to move out on their own. As my parents who live nearby get up in age, I see more clearly how important it is for families to have care they can really count on. This is our ministry and our blessing. God would have it no other way.
