Assisted Living Services

Our nurse begins to understand an individual’s needs by performing a comprehensive assessment that evaluates three key areas: medication support, wellness needs and personal care. Informed by the assessment, we develop a tailored plan of care that guides our specially trained caregivers on how to help best support each resident.

Assisted Living services:

  • Life enrichment and socialization activities
  • Medication administration
  • Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, bathroom/toileting)
  • Housekeeping
  • Mobility and transferring
  • Chef prepared meals
  • Assistance with eating, if needed

Considering Assisted Living?

Here are a few questions to ask any assisted living community to help you make the right choice for your loved one.

  • What are care costs?
  • What are medication services and costs?
  • Are there other fees related to special services?
  • What are admission and discharge criteria?

Other assisted living communities may not allow you to move in because of certain care needs and/or you may be required to move out if you develop certain needs. For example, needing a two-person transfer/use of a mechanical lift, diabetes/insulin, challenging behaviors, wandering or exit seeking.

Simon enjoys the daily personalized care he receives. He’s a regular with the afternoon cards crew, playing gin rummy and enjoying a coffee in the BrightStar Bistro. Come summer, he lends a green thumb to the herbs in the vegetable garden.
